DENTAL IMPLANTS
REPLACE YOUR MISSING TOOTH OR TEETH
Replacing missing teeth is important for your oral health. Missing teeth can cause jawbone collapse, tooth shifting and overall gum tissue loss. One of the most ideal solutions to this problem is by placing a dental implant to replace the missing tooth/teeth.
A dental implant is used to support one or more false teeth. It is a titanium screw that can replace the root of a tooth when it fails. Implants are very durable and will last many years. With good care, many implants last a lifetime.
When it comes to appearance and feel, the only difference between dental implants and real teeth is that it is not real teeth. They are customised to look, feel and fit exactly like all the other teeth in your mouth.
Bone grafting may also be required if the dentist finds that the bone level is not adequate enough to support the implant. In this case, artificial/mineral bone will be added until it incorporates your own allowing the implant to be sufficiently placed. After the dental implant has successfully integrated with your bone, a crown will be attached to the implant.
